War Secretary Pete Hegseth defended American military actions and strategies in Iran during another heated congressional hearing yesterday. Hegseth insists that the United States has "control" over the Strait of Hormuz and its shipping route. He addressed sharp criticism with bipartisan concern as the Pentagon's cost of war skyrocketed towards $1.5 trillion.

FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary has resigned after months of rising tension inside the Trump administration and battles over public health policies. This tenure as commissioner had been flawed with disagreements with vape approvals, abortion pill policies and agency managements.

The 41-year-old scaled the perimeter fence before walking ont the runway which directly landed him in the path of the aircraft, with officials ruling the death a suicide.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has rejected calls to resign despite the growing backlash growing inside his own Labour Party after major election losses.Starmer has insisted he will continue governing despite many lawmakers questioning his leadership that cost many local council seats across the United Kingdom.

9. Federal Charges Files in Deadly Key Bridge Collapse

Federal prosecutors have filed criminal charges against the operators of the ship that caused the deadly collapse of Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge, which led to six deaths and billions of dollars in damages. The DOJ accused the Singapore-based Synergy Marine Group of safety violations, falsifying inspection records and manipulating investigators after the disaster.
